The Office star Jenna Fischer has revealed she was diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of breast cancer and is now cancer-free 10 months on.
In an Instagram post, the actress, 50, says she was diagnosed with Stage 1 Triple Positive Breast Cancer in December and underwent multiple treatments.
“After completing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation I am now cancer free,” she wrote in the caption.
”I wanted a photo of myself in my patchy pixie looking happy and healthy to go along with this news.”

Fischer, beloved for her role as Pam Beesly in the US version of hit sitcom The Office, said her diagnosis came two months after a mammogram returned inconclusive results due to dense breast tissue.
An ultrasound revealed “something in [the star’s] left breast” and a biopsy was ordered, which led to her diagnosis.
“Triple positive breast cancer is an aggressive form of breast cancer but it is also highly responsive to treatment,” the star explained.
Fischer underwent a lumpectomy in January, and while her cancer was caught early and hadn’t spread into her lymph nodes, she underwent chemotherapy and radiation to ensure it didn’t return.

“In February I began 12 rounds of weekly chemotherapy, and in June I started three weeks of radiation,” she wrote.
The actress said she is now “feeling great”, and is still being treated with infusions of medications.
“I lost my hair during chemotherapy but thanks to some great wigs and hat with hair … I have been able to wait until now to reveal all that has been going on for me.”
