Jennifer Garner is getting emotional as she says goodbye to her children’s teachers.
The actress took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note she’d written to all those who have taken the time over the past 13 years to help educate her children.
“A little gratitude for our wonderful family elementary school at the end of 13 years together applies to all educators: thank you for doing what you do,” she wrote alongside a screenshot of her Notes app.

She also made sure to congratulate all the other mums who are watching their kids move onto the next phase of life.
The note was addressed to “dearest teachers” and thanked all educators for caring about her kids, disciplining them when necessary, and giving them a hug when needed.
“Thank you for all of the hard work that goes into having high expectation, for buckling down and teaching them the discomfort and joy of tolerating frustration toward a greater good,” she wrote.

Garner continued to express her gratitude, thanking teachers for choosing to study and follow the career path.
“I’m sure that the demands and frustrations of the classroom can obfuscate the mission behind your place in it, but what’s more noble than teaching children – not a whole lot as far as I can tell,” she continued.

While her children have been privileged enough to grow up in a safe and stable home, Garner shared that she recognised that, but still wanted her three kids to have a safe and normal education.
“What I didn’t know to want: teachers who were willing to dress up on theme for Halloweed,” she added. “To choose the perfect book/science project/Spanish song, to travel with forty kids, to play hockey at lunch, to spend months working toward an art fair or performance or the incredible feat of filling in a globe with its countries and capitols.
“Thank you for a beautiful thirteen years,” Garner wrote to close her letter. “I cannot imagine our family landing anywhere better.”
