Joanna Gaines is going back to her Fixer Upper roots with the new Magnolia Network and Max series, Mini Reni.
The new renovation series premieres on Wednesday, May 14, and Gaines hopes to inspire viewers of the show to take on their own mini projects at home.
“What I always like to tell my clients is, ‘As your home evolves and as the story of your family evolves, you want to make these spaces work for you,’” Gaines says in the trailer for the show.
Gaines notes that Mini Reni gives her freedom “to try new ideas and end with these fresh, finished spaces that didn’t require months of work.”
Mini Reni‘s first season consists of nine episodes and will run through July 9. The renovation series brings Gaines back to renovating homes on TV, just as she did with her husband, Chip Gaines, on HGTV’s Fixer Upper, which spanned five seasons.
The preview for Mini Reni shows Gaines creating a playroom with a secret doorway and sharing “little cheats [that] can make it feel more impactful, make it feel more elevated, but you’re not spending too much to make a pretty cool impact.”
“It doesn’t have to be a dramatic renovation. It can literally be simple little details,” Gaines adds. “The hope is that we can inspire you to tackle your own Mini Reni.”
Mini Reni premieres Wednesday, May 14 at 8 p.m. ET on Magnolia Network and streaming on Max.
