A new trailer has been reelased for Seth Rogen’s upcoming Apple TV+ series The Studio, and it featurees a fake trailer for a zombie apocalypse film titled Duhpocalypse which stars Johnny Knoxville and Josh Hutcherson.
In the fake movie Knoxville and Hutcherson find themselves facing off with gross and explosive zombie diarrhea.
In the clip, Knoxville describes Duhpocalypse as “a dark satire about medical disinformation” while the execs panic over theater owners refusing to play the trailer due to the diarrhea explosion.
Rogen stars in the series as Matt Remick, the new head of Continental Studios, a job that he’s always wanted. But it turns out that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be, and in reality, it’s a nightmare.
“As movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their own insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films.
“With their power suits masking their neverending sense of panic, every party, set visit, casting decision, marketing meeting, and award show presents them with an opportunity for glittering success or career-ending catastrophe.
“As someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes movies, it’s the job Matt’s been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him.”
The series includes an all-star cast such as Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders. The trailer also teases a number of major guest stars, including Bryan Cranston, Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, Ron Howard, and more.
The studio was created by Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory along with Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Frida Perez. Rogen and Goldberg also serve as directors and executive producers.
The comedy series will consist of 10 episodes and its first two episodes will be released on March 26, 2025.
