Uh, it seems these two may not be on the same page… at least not publicly.
As Perezcious readers know, Joseph Duggar was arrested for child molestation after a 14-year-old girl came forward about inappropriate behavior that occurred when she was just 9 on a family vacation in Florida in 2020. Joseph supposedly admitted to the accusations in a conversation with the victim’s father but has since pleaded not guilty.
He was later charged with four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment alongside his wife Kendra Duggar in Arkansas.

Considering the family’s past with brother Josh, this whole thing has been deeply upsetting, and many Duggar siblings have spoken out against Joseph.
However, he has been getting some support. While behind bars, he received calls from his wife, naturally, but also supportive notes from Josh’s wife Anna, his parents, and even… Joy-Anna Duggar‘s husband!
According to Us Weekly on Tuesday, Austin Forsyth wrote emails to Joseph while he was in Washington County Detention Center, saying:
“I want you to know that I love you. Jesus loves you, and continues to draw you closer to Him.”
Austin didn’t want to discuss details of the case in the public forum, noting:
“I don’t want to discuss your issues over these communications. You need to only be talking to your attorney. Please know that God works despite the sin of man for his good.”
However, he was clearly standing by Joseph and Kendra’s side:
“I am praising God that we started getting closer to you guys within the last year and a half. He knew that Kendra was going to need help. We will, and are helping her!”
Inneresting!
When Joy-Anna first broke her silence on the arrest, she took a much harsher tone! She wrote on Instagram:
“What has come out about my brother is heartbreaking and deeply disturbing. My heart is with the victim, and I am grieved by the pain and harm caused.”
She added that she’d “been a wreck this week” and would be “taking time to process” it all moving forward.
Her husband’s comments make you wonder what she really thinks? Will she be quick to cut off Joseph if he’s convicted? Or, as is common with many of the Duggars, will she stand by her embattled brother despite claiming her “heart is with the victim”? Time will tell…
Honestly? We’re surprised and quite disturbed anyone would be so willing to quickly still support a man who reportedly confessed to molesting A CHILD.
