Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, the singers behind Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters, will perform at this year’s BAFTA Film Awards.
The trio will perform ‘Golden’ from the film’s soundtrack.
“Performing at the EE BAFTA Film Awards is a golden moment that our younger selves could never have imagined,” the trio said in a statement. “We’re so proud to represent Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters and spread the film’s positive message to fans around the globe.”
‘Golden’ sat on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks. The track also became the first K-Pop song to win a Grammy on Sunday after nabbing the award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
This year’s BAFTA Film Awards take place on Sunday, 22 February at the Southbank Centre in London.
One Battle After Another leads nominations with 14 nods, including Best Film, Director, and Adapted Screenplay. PTA’s movie came into the BAFTA nominations stage hot with 16 longlist mentions, the most ever recorded for a film. The 14 nominations are the second-highest haul recorded by a film after Richard Attenborough’s Gandhi, which landed 16 in 1983. The King’s Speech, All Quiet on the Western Front, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon also landed 14 BAFTA noms. Each of those films, excluding Crouching Tiger, won Best Film.
Sinners landed 13 BAFTA nominations. The film’s haul includes Best Director and Original Screenplay for Ryan Coogler. Michael B. Jordan landed his first BAFTA nomination in the Best Actor category, and Manchester native Wunmi Mosaku landed a Best Actress nomination.
Trailing the two Warner Bros titles are Hamnet and Marty Supreme, with 11 nominations. Paul Mescal and Timothée Chalamet are both Best Actor nominees, and both Chloé Zhao and Josh Safdie are Best Director nominees.
