Kanye West is hitting up the comedy scene.
On Friday, the disgraced rapper was spotted attending comedian Deon Cole’s improv set at the Hollywood Improv in El Lay. But unlike other audience members, he was asked to come up onstage by Deon himself!
In footage obtained by TMZ on Sunday, the father-of-four was seen leaving wife Bianca Censori and music executive John Monopoly in the crowd to timidly join the Black-ish actor onstage. There, he was asked if he’d been enjoying the show, to which he responded with a nod. Ye for the most part stood onstage with an expressionless look on his face, hands by his side, keeping his verbal responses to a minimum.

At one point, Deon asked if Kanye was truly “busting the f**k up,” or if he was just giving the comedian “sympathy laughs.” When he communicated that his enjoyment of the show was sincere, Deon asked:
“Why your body language ain’t showing ‘bust the f**k up’ body language? You’re over here like, ‘Mhm. Yeah.’”
He went on to thank the Moon rapper for coming out to the show, before Ye quietly announced he has a “new album” coming out. Watch the painfully awkward footage (below):
