Kim Zolciak responded to Kroy Biermann‘s claim that she is an “unfit parent” during an appearance on a recent episode of Kristin Cavallari‘s new series, Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour.
Nearly two years after Kroy, 39, accused the 47-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta alum of being abusive and requested a guardian to protect the “best interests” of their four children, Kim spoke with Kristin, 38, who endured her own years-long divorce from Jay Cutler, 42, about their messy public splits.
“It’s really hard. You’re going to get through all of this, though,” Kristin tells Kim.
“It’s a lot, thank you,” Kim replies.
Kristin then signals narcissistic behavior.
“It’s really unfortunate and, I hate just loosely throwing the word ‘narcissist’ around, but with the women that are in my life, there is this common theme. We’re over here like, ‘Are you f*cking kidding me?’” she explains.
In a flashback scene from a past episode of her podcast, Kristin recalls feeling blindsided by the behavior of her former partner.
“When you’re with someone, you think you know them, and then, you guys break up, and they become evil. Holy sh*t, how can someone be that nasty?” she asks.
Kim and Kroy share four young children, including sons Kroy Jr., 13, and Kash, 12, and twins Kaia and Kane, 11, and two older daughters, Brielle Biermann, 27, and Ariana Biermann, 23, who Kroy adopted in 2013.
Like Kristin, Kim admits that she’s found herself in shock at Kroy’s actions against her.
“I’ve wanted to speak. Like, Kroy filing a motion saying I’m an unfit parent. I’ve been on TV, what? Like 17 years. The only thing that hasn’t been said about me is that I’ve been a bad parent. You cannot say that,” she states. “My kids are my entire life. They always have been. I raised my girls by myself. And that’s one thing that Kroy knew would hurt me the most.”
Kim also shut down claims that she was responsible for Kroy’s financial downfall.
“First of all, I love when people tell me I spent all of Kroy’s money,” said Kim. “I’ve made way more than Kroy. Kroy’s last NFL season was in 2015, just so we’re clear. We’re in 2025, and he just got a job in March of 2024.”
“I’ve worked my a** off to provide for my family and my children. This man has not paid a bill in this house in years. Even with a job, he hasn’t paid a bill in this house in years. Not clothes for my children, not extracurricular, nothing,” she claimed.
Kim then went on to accuse Kroy of stealing from her and her eldest daughter, Brielle.
“He stole every piece of jewelry I’ve ever owned in my life prior to him, as well as Brielle’s, and sold it all,” she alleged. “Every piece I’ve ever owned in my life. Every piece. I had my engagement ring and my earrings because they were hidden in my bra.”
“But other than that, you know, he did that, he stole 20 of my most expensive handbags,” Kim claimed. “I’ve had to borrow money from girlfriends, my own daughters have helped. It’s been crazy.”
Kim, who points out that she has “filmed four shows in the last four years,” then accused Kroy of trying to ruin her.
“His goal when I said I was gonna divorce him, was, ‘I will publicly destroy you. You’ll never work again,’” she alleged. “And he tried. It didn’t work.”
“This is the first time, by the way, I am speaking,” she continued. “Because I just moved into my brand new house 10 days ago, and I feel safe. I feel safe enough to speak, and I just wanted to protect my children through this, so I remained quiet.”
Although their breakup has not been pretty, and often saw police presence at their former shared mansion in Georgia, Kim insists that she’s made a point to maintain respect.
“You’re with somebody for this long, I’m not an a**hole. I still, even today, was nice on the phone. I still treat him with respect,” she shares.
Meanwhile, Kristin adds, “I think unless you’ve been through a divorce, it’s so hard to fully understand. It’s not black or white, it’s so complicated.”
