Running from October 4 to 19 at 210 Lafayette Street, the pop-up is open Tuesdays through Sundays, 12 pm to 9 pm, and promises to be the ultimate celebration of manga and community.
Organized by Kodansha, Japan’s largest publishing company and the creative powerhouse behind iconic titles like Akira, Sailor Moon, Attack on Titan, and Blue Lock, Kodansha House 2025 delivers more of what fans loved last year—plus new surprises. This year’s installment features expanded exhibit space, interactive installations, hands-on workshops, and special events ranging from date nights to movie screenings.
Whether you’re a longtime otaku or new to manga culture, Kodansha House offers something for everyone. Visitors can explore immersive exhibits inspired by hit series like Ghost in the Shell, Attack on Titan, and Blue Lock, and even mingle with fellow fans at themed community events.
In a major highlight for up-and-coming artists, KODANSHA Mochikomi Fresh Ink 2025 offers a rare chance to sit down for a 1:1 portfolio review with a Kodansha editor from Japan. Open to aspiring creators planning to attend the event, submissions will be accepted from August 1 to August 10 at 11:00 pm EST. Selected finalists will receive personalized feedback from some of the industry’s most respected editorial voices—right inside Kodansha House.
This year’s program includes a diverse lineup of exhibits, creator-focused installations, and Q&A sessions with three major manga artists, whose names will be announced soon. These rare U.S. appearances will include live signings, giving fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet the minds behind their favorite stories.
