Is Spider-Man finally facing off against Kraven the Hunter? A new rumor suggests the Web Head’s role in the upcoming Sony Pictures spin-off.
Sony Pictures has had a rough go when it comes to their Spider-Man spin-offs. Mostly since none of them have even featured Spider-Man! At most, fans have gotten a picture in the background or a name drop. However, given Kraven the Hunter is one of the character’s most iconic villains, fans were hoping his solo film might be able to change things.
However, a new rumor suggests that isn’t the case. According to scooper @Cryptic4KQual, Spider-Man will be mentioned in Kraven the Hunter. However, Sony Pictures didn’t have the character make an actual appearance in the film. This marks the fifth spin-off of the franchise to not actually feature Spider-Man facing one of his villains!
It’s Morbin’ Time For Kraven The Hunter
Even though Sony Pictures hasn’t let Spider-Man appear in their spin-offs, they have let their villains crossover in small roles. Vulture infamously made a cameo at the end of Morbius. Perhaps Morbius could now appear in Kraven the Hunter, especially given the character’s iconic meme status.
Yet it seems Sony Pictures doesn’t want Kraven the Hunter to make a Morbillion dollars. The same rumor put out by the leaker confirms that neither Morbius nor Spider-Man will be making an appearance in the spin-off. While a shame, it’s good to know that the film will sink or swim (though probably just sink) on its own.
Kraven the Hunter is currently scheduled to hit theaters on December 13, 2024. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the Aaron Taylor-Johnson movie and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more content!
