Kristen Doute Shades Lisa Vanderpump, Talks Issues With Luke

These days, Kristen Doute has become one of the fan favorites from the Vanderpump Rules universe. This is not only due to her current stint on The Valley, but also because she is one of the cast members who is not afraid to call out Lisa Vanderpump. Recently, she doubled down on her feelings about her former boss and also opened up about some of the issues that have arisen from hosting a podcast with Luke Broderick, to whom she is engaged.

Kristen, 42, and Luke, 33, began dating in the summer of 2022. They didn’t go public with the relationship until months later in December, and they became engaged in September of last year. They are expecting a baby later this year. 

Recently, Kristen appeared on The Bi*** Bible podcast, which is hosted by Jackie Schimmel. In one clip from the episode, which The Bravo Investigator captured, Jackie asked Kristen about LVP and how the men from Vanderpump Rules were always able to “get little to no ramifications’ for their harmful actions. 

In terms of why this is the case, Kristen surmised, “I think it’s like an LVP thing. I really think it’s an LVP thing.” She continued, “It could have been my approach over the years that was not quite as acceptable as it is now.”

Jackie chimmed in and said that she felt that Kristen actually “kowtowed” to Lisa over the years and received no grace in return. 

Jackie then asked why the dudes are extended so much grace. Kristen responded, “Yeah, I don’t know. I mean, look at all the girls coming out now that have been waiting to not be on any show with her. Scheana and Katie are all like, ‘Let me tell you everything.’ When Scheana’s book comes out, she told me that there’s a lot of tea about Lisa in there that the world would like to know about.”

She went on, “So, I think she’s like sh** on the bottom of Lisa’s show now.”

They continued by talking about Lisa’s treatment of Kristen, despite her typically being, what they referred to as, one of the most honest people from the show. She then said, “I think I only told one lie in all of my years, and it’s the big lie, but it’s the only lie that I told.” 

Presumably, she’s referring to lying about hooking up with Jax Taylor. However, fans of VPR know that Kristen isn’t being super straightforward in discussing her time on the show, as she has had to backtrack on previous comments that weren’t truthful.

In other Kristen news, she also opened up about some of the difficulties of her podcast, which is called Balancing Act. When talking with a guest, who complimented her on the name of the podcast, Kristen said, “Luke’s not really that much a part of it yet. We haven’t really, like, announced anything because we’re kind of in limbo about, like, whether or not Luke’s gonna keep doing it.”

She then told fans to leave comments about how much they love or hate Luke on the podcast. She went on, “Honestly, guys, here’s the dead honest truth. We were fighting about it. Not fighting about the content or anything like that, but I was getting so busy that I was just taking sh** out on him and being like, ‘When are we gonna record?’ He’s like, ‘Dude, I am, like, right here in the same house with you whenever you’re ready.’ And I was, like, putting that on him, but then not ready when it needed to be ready. He was just an easy scapegoat. I was like, ‘Fiance, how about co-host from hell?’”

She then said that Luke suggested she just take over the podcast, and he could appear from time to time.
