Jessica Jones is back! A report reveals that Krysten Ritter will officially make her return to the world of superheroes in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again.
Ever since it was announced that Charlie Cox would be making his return in the MCU, fans were wondering what other cast members of the Defenders would put on their capes and cowls (or rather, hoodies and distressed jeans) once more. At the top of many of those lists was Krysten Ritter, who played Jessica Jones in the titular Netflix series.
The rumor mill was churning with speculation that Krysten Ritter would appear alongside Charlie Cox in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again. Yet as the series came and went, there was nary a sign of Jessica Jones making her return to the MCU. While some fans lost hope of other Netflix heroes appearing in the project, others turned their eyes (and their hope) to season 2.
Will Krysten Ritter Return As Jessica Jones?
Fans began to lose hope of Krysten Ritter appearing in the next season of Daredevil: Born Again as production on season 2 chugged along in New York. But just as hope was all but lost, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Jessica Jones would in fact make her grand return to the MCU in the upcoming season of their grounded thriller.
This announcement was likely made just as Krysten Ritter was getting ready to film her scenes for Daredevil: Born Again season 2. Currently, fans don’t know how robust her role as Jessica Jones will be. It’s possible the character only appears for a cameo. On the other hand, it’s possible that Marvel is bulk shooting her scenes and the last leg of production will cover almost the entire season.
