Euphoria composer Labrinth appeared to distance himself from the HBO show in a strongly worded Instagram post late last night.
“I’m done with this industry,” the British musician wrote in a statement posted to his Instagram, which was followed by a series of expletives aimed at his record label and the HBO show.
“Fuck Columbia,” he wrote. Labrinth is currently signed to Columbia Records.
The statement continued: “Double Fuck Euphoria. I’m out. Thank you and good night.”
Labrinth shared the statement without a caption. We’ve reached out to Labrinth’s reps and HBO for further clarification on the meaning behind the post.
Labrinth has composed the Euphoria score since the show’s first season and won the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics Emmy for the song All for Us. The musician was also in attendance earlier this week at the Balenciaga 2026 Winter show in Paris, where Euphoria creator Sam Levinson teased footage from the show’s long-awaited third season as part of the show.
Last year, HBO announced that Labrinth was returning to score the show’s third season alongside Hans Zimmer. Euphoria season three is set to debut on April 12. The eight-part season will include a time jump that brings the characters out of high school and is expected to close out the story.
Zendaya returns as Rue Bennett alongside the likes of Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Eric Dane, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Dominic Fike, and Maude Apatow. Colman Domingo returns as a guest star with Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry upped to series regulars alongside fresh faces, including Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Kadeem Hardison, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Toby Wallace.
