Police have arrested a manufacturing staff for The Late Present With Stephen Colbert and charged them with illegal entry on the U.S. Capitol.
The crew was made up of seven individuals, together with Robert Smigel, the person behind the favored puppet Triumph the Insult Comedian Canine, and the group was detained after filming a comedy section within the space on June 16.
“U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) obtained a name for a disturbance within the Longworth Home Workplace Constructing,” Capitol Police stated in a press release to Deadline. “Responding officers noticed seven people, unescorted and with out Congressional ID, in a sixth-floor hallway. The constructing was closed to guests, and these people have been decided to be part of a gaggle that had been directed by the USCP to go away the constructing earlier within the day.”
The assertion continued, “They have been charged with Illegal Entry. That is an energetic prison investigation, and should end in extra prison expenses after session with the U.S. Legal professional.”
