“We never waste the meat.” Uncork’d Entertainment has unveiled the official trailer for an indie horror film called The Hermit, featuring original 70s Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno as the titular “Hermit” horror villain. Dragged on a vacation into the woods, teenagers Lisa and Eric fight for their lives against an unstoppable cannibal pig farmer. This brutal horror thriller will be out to watch on VOD right away this March. In his first creature role since CBS’s original The Incredible Hulk, global icon Lou Ferrigno returns to the screen, and steps into the horror genre for the first time. “I’ve always been a big fan of scary movies and I hope this one will be on everyone’s list to watch!” Also starring Malina Weissman and Anthony Turpel as Lisa and Eric. The film is described as “dark, action-packed, and wildly entertaining.” This trailer footage isn’t as promising as it sounds on paper, but it seems like something many horror fans will enjoy anyway. Fire it up.
Here’s the official trailer (+ posters) for Salvatore Sclafani’s horror movie The Hermit, from YouTube:
In this dark horror tale with a quirky edge, Ferrigno plays a cannibalistic pig farmer who makes and sells jerky made from human flesh. Dragged on their vacation to the woods, teenagers Lisa and Eric’s outing quickly spirals into a nightmare as they fight for their lives against an unstoppable cannibal pig farmer. The Hermit is directed by US-based Italian genre filmmaker Salvatore Sclafani, director of the films Il talento, Dutch II: Angel’s Revenge, Dutch III: International Gangster, and “Kate’s Story” series recently. The screenplay is written by William Walkerley. Produced by Gerry Pass and Salvatore Sclafani. This hasn’t premiered at any festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Uncork’d will debut Sclafani’s The Hermit horror film direct-to-VOD in the US starting on March 3rd, 2026 coming up soon. Anyone want to watch this?
