As the Beckham family feud drags into its third day, people have come out of the woodwork to air their views, and in some cases, dirty laundry.
While literally thousands of words have already been written about the saga since Brooklyn Beckham did what can only be described as dropping an atomic bomb on his parents, David and Victoria, there is one person we all agree we need to hear from, who has remained silent.
And that person is Marc Anthony.
Anthony, 57, is an American-born singer, songwriter and actor.
He is not only the top-selling salsa artist of all time, but has four Grammy Awards and eight Latin Grammy Awards to his name, and has reportedly sold more than 12 million albums worldwide.
For non-Latin music lovers, he is probably best known for his marriage to Jennifer Lopez.
The two met in the late ’90s and worked together, with Lopez reportedly fantasising about one day being his wife.

But they only started dating after her short-lived second marriage to dancer Cris Judd ended.
Meanwhile, he too was previously married to former Miss Universe, Dayanara Torres.
Once they got together in 2004, things moved fast.
They married that same year in a ceremony at Lopez’s Beverly Hills home and welcomed twins Emme and Max in 2008.
They announced their separation in 2011 and divorced in 2014.
Fast forward to 2022, and Anthony was one of the musical artists asked to perform at the wedding reception for Brooklyn Beckham and his bride Nicola Peltz.
And as such, he has found himself embroiled in one of the biggest controversies of 2026 – if not the decade.
Anthony is described as a close friend of the Beckhams.
Their paths possibly crossed in either LA or Miami, where both have homes.
Either way, Anthony is reportedly a godfather to both Cruz and Harper Beckham while David is said to be godfather to Marc’s son Marquitos, who he welcomed in 2023 with his fourth wife, Nadia Ferreira.
David Beckham was also a groomsman at their wedding.
It was reportedly this close relationship that led Anthony to agree to perform at the Beckham’s eldest son’s wedding – a decision he likely now regrets.

While his part in the wedding had been brought up before, this week marked the first time either of the warring parties named him outright.
Brooklyn’s decision to mention Anthony by name in the six-page statement he posted on his Instagram Story this week has put him right at the centre of the drama.
“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song,” Brooklyn wrote.
“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife, but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.
“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.
“I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
It was not the first time Anthony’s name had been dragged into the bad blood between the two warring sides.
Stories first emerged almost two years ago about Anthony’s role in allegedly upsetting the bride.
The story has now been repeated several times and goes like this.
During the wedding reception at the Peltz family compound in Palm Beach, Florida, Anthony appeared on stage.
Depending on which version of events you read, this was either meant to be to introduce the newlyweds for their first dance, or another dance later in the night.
A 2022 story in Vogue, which covered the nuptials exclusively at the time, said the newlyweds had their first dance to a song by African artist Lloyisom, which was wrongly credited as Only Fools Rush In, but is actually called Can’t Help Falling in Love.
Either way, on taking to the stage, Anthony reportedly said, “Please welcome to the stage the most beautiful woman in the room… Victoria Beckham”.
Whether Victoria was hijacking the first dance as Brooklyn has alleged, or was being called to the stage for the mother-of-the-groom dance that is customary along with others involving the bride and her father and the groom and the mother-of-the bride, his choice of words were probably not the best.
Those words were reportedly what led Nicole to run crying from the room. She later had to be coaxed back to her own wedding reception, according to reports.
Either way, if Anthony did in fact utter those words, and there is currently no proof he did, those were his words, and not Victoria’s.
It could have just been a misunderstanding, but only he knows what really happened.
While his decision to remain silent could be seen by some as honourable, only he alone knows the truth.
It may well be time for Anthony to speak up now or forever hold his peace.
While it may be too late to mend the rift between Brooklyn and his parents – he said this week “I do not want to reconcile with my family” – it is clear Anthony holds the key to unravelling one of the biggest question marks hanging over what can only be described as the wedding from hell.
