This Barbie isn’t interested in taking unsolicited advice.
Indeed, Margot Robbie recalled the worst gift she’d ever received: a book from a fellow actor about weight loss.
“Very, very early in my career, an actor I worked with, a male actor gave me a book called French Women Don’t Get Fat,” the Wuthering Heights star told Complex in a joint interview with Charli XCX published Feb. 9, “and it was essentially a book telling you to eat less.”
“I was like, ‘Whoa, f–k you, dude,” she recalled. “He essentially gave me a book to let me know that I should lose weight. I was like, ‘Wow.'”
As for who the actor was?
Margot emphasized that she has “no idea where he would even be now.”
For the Barbie actress—who made her onscreen debut at age 17 in Neighbours—her looks have taken center stage during her career. And sometimes, it became too much of the focus.
