Is Bill Skarsgård coming back to the MCU? A new rumor suggests Marvel is looking to bring the Eternals star back for a brand new role.
Bill Skarsgård has been on a tear through Hollywood in recent years. While the actor has had his fair share of flops as a leading man, such as Boys Kills World and The Crow, he has become a force to be reckoned with as a villain character actor. Skarsgård seems to perfectly embody the strange and inhuman, nailing his performance as Pennywise in the IT franchise and recently giving an Oscar-worthy performance as Count Orlok in Nosferatu.
This record had people losing their minds when it was announced he would be playing Kro in Eternals. However, as history would go on to show, fans largely considered the casting as wasted potential. This led many to hope that Bill Skarsgård would manage to land another role in a comic book movie, be it at Marvel or DC, in order to show his true range in a world of gods and monsters .
Marvel Wants Bill Skarsgård For A New Role
These hopes are seemingly set to come true. The latest rumor from scooper MyTimeToShineHello reveals that Marvel wants Bill Skarsgård back in the MCU, though not as Kro from Eternals. This would be the third Marvel role Skarsgård has landed, as he also made a small cameo as Zeitgeist in Deadpool 2. Though given the character’s grim fate, it’s not likely he’ll be making some grand return in the upcoming Mutant Saga.
Dozens of roles have been thrown out when it comes to who Bill Skarsgård could play in the MCU. The suggestions range from staple Marvel heroes like Nightcrawler to underrated villains like Mole Man and Nightmare. Given the studios’ wide swathe of projects in development, it’s hard to nail down exactly what character Skarsgård could play, but the recent success of Nosferatu may be cause for a Hail Mary Dracula casting!
