British actress Maya Woolfe, known best for her role in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet has died aged 72.
The news was delivered by the official social media channels of the show.

They wrote, “With sadness we announce the passing of Maya Woolfe who played Uli in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet Series 1, Episode 11, ‘The Lovers’.
“Maya’s’ many TV appearances included The Professionals, Bergerac, and Doctor Who. We send our deepest sympathy to family and friends at this difficult time.”
The actress was especially known for her iconic line in the series, which was a comedy-drama surrounding seven British construction workers who leave the UK tofind work overseas.

Remembering the stars we’ve lost in 2025
In the January 1984 “The Lovers”, Woolfe’s character Uli mistakes Oz Osborne, portrayed by Jimmy Nail as a wealthy tycoon’s son.
During a date where they discuss Oz taking ovber his father’s supposed “business empire”, Uli asks him, “In the meantime you are just one of the boys?”
Oz’s reply? ”Look again, pet. One of the men.”

Fans have remembered the line with fondness as they mourned her loss.
“Very sad news I know oz will be very lost with out her,” said one.
“Played the part brilliantly in one of the very best episodes,” added another.

“Sad news. Loved this episode one of my favourites,” one added.
Woolfe went on to play a receptionist in Doctor Who, a secretary in The Detectives, as well as many other roles in Wilde Alliance, The Professionals, Tenko, Bergerac, Triangle, Lief zijn voor elkaar, The Black Magic Man, C.A.T.S Eyes and Dutch Cops.
