Mercedes “MJ” Javid offered an update on her split from husband Tommy Feight on an episode of Jeff Lewis‘ radio show this week.
Weeks after filing for divorce after seven years of marriage, and after speaking of her real estate career, the 53-year-old Shahs of Sunset alum confirmed that she and Tommy, 53, had moved out of the home they once shared, revealed how their 6-year-old son, Shams, was handling the news, and admitted that while she might still be “in love” with her estranged spouse, she had no regrets about her decision to call it quits.
“We moved out,” MJ confirmed on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live. “It’s very humbling to move from a place where your child was 6-month old until he’s 6 and a half years old.”
In addition to MJ being “very happy” at her new place, she revealed that Shams was doing “good” as well.
“He’s just like, very focused on what’s happening in his life, and he loves the new place, the way we filled it up and made it special before he saw it,” she shared, adding that “by ‘we’ I mean ‘me.’”
As for Tommy, he also found a new place.
“He moved into pretty much the same cul de sac. I’m in a different community, but the distance between his place and my place is less than a minute driving,” she explained, noting that Tommy will “of course” see Shams on the regular.
As she and Tommy prepare to officially end their marriage, MJ said she’s been “very honest” with Shams about why it was “time to move out of the house.”
“It was such a house that we couldn’t enjoy anymore. It was too much for me. Living there felt like cleaning a window, and then someone would just wipe it with mud. So he kind of, you could see him understanding that change is a good thing and he was really just concerned about, ‘Are the toys coming?’” she revealed.
Then, when Jeff, 55, said he’d spoken to a mutual friend who told him she seemed “lighter,” MJ agreed before reflecting on her feelings for Tommy.
“I love Tommy. I might still be in love with Tommy. He’s always family. I’m always gonna make sure he’s okay … I just, I think this is something that’s necessary and positive for everybody,” she noted.
Also on the show, after MJ confirmed that no details had been worked out in terms of a settlement, Jeff applauded her for trying everything to save her marriage.
“I know that. I definitely agree with that .. I don’t have any [regrets],” she replied.

After graduating from California State University, Northridge, MJ began working alongside her developer father and later joined the Keller Williams Realty firm before moving to The Agency in early 2023.
MJ first shared the news that she was joining The Agency in an Instagram post in which she mentioned Mauricio and the firm’s managing partner Emil Hartoonian.
“It is with great excitement and pride that I get to announce my new home with [The Agency],” she captioned her February 2023 announcement. “I am so grateful for [Emil] who is an incredible industry leader. [Mauricio] for creating such an incredible league of consummate professionals. Stay tuned!”
Mercedes “MJ” Javid is set to return to TV screens with Reza and GG sometime in the coming months in a Persian-style spinoff of The Valley.
