Year 2 of Mortal Kombat 1 is now underway, with NetherRealm Studios having announced a kolossal story and gameplay expansion titled “Khaos Reigns” at San Diego Comic-Con for release on September 24.
Khaos Reigns will include additional story chapters, the return of Animalities, and Kombat Pack 2- kontaining Ghostface from Scream, T-1000 from The Terminator, Conan the Barbarian, Noob Saibot, and female versions of Cyrax & Sektor. The release date for the three guest fighters is unknown as of now, but the three from the Mortal Kombat series will drop in September alongside the story expansion.
Animalities will be part of a free kontent update, but to see the khaotic kontinuation of Mortal Kombat’s 1 story, and to get their hands on Kombat Pack 2, Nintendo Switch players will have to buy the entire Khaos Reigns expansion for $39.99 or their regional equivalent. A bundle including the first Kombat Pack alongside the new kontent from Khaos Reigns will also be available for purchase, but Kombat Pack 2, unfortunately, kannot be bought on its own.
