The infamous pop star, Lady Gaga, dropped her seventh studio album, Mayhem, on March 7th, 2025.
It’s no secret that Gaga has been out of the spotlight for a few years, but this break allowed the artist to rediscover her passion for music, and to reconnect with herself and the world around her. Gaga told AP News that she “reclaimed [herself] as an artist.”
The artist is using the release of her new album titled, ‘Mayhem,’ to connect to her old roots, that she once discovered when she was first starting out as a singer/songwriter. Gaga told ‘People,’ “The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved.”
Fans are coming to social media to not only praise the new album, but many have noticed the shift in her music, and that this album really feels like her. One fan came to X and said, “I love how Lady Gaga has mastered her craft… #MAYHEM is so Lady Gaga coded from start to finish.”
Her new album ‘Mayhem’ includes 14 tracks, including chart topping songs ‘Abracadabra,’ and ‘Die With a Smile,’ a collaboration with Bruno Mars, and which won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance this year.
In fact, Gaga served as SNL’s host and musical guest on their March 7th episode. The pop star started the night by singing hit song, ‘Abracadabra,’ which was introduced to the world at the 2025 Grammys, when the music video premiered. She then closed the SNL stage with the song, ‘Killah’ off the new album.
Fans are excited about Gaga returning to her old pop roots. ‘Mayhem’ is available to listen to now on all streaming platforms.
