In true Squid Game fashion, Netflix hosted a game-ified 5K run where over 1700 fans were put into the role of players who competed for the ultimate prize — a coveted seat at an advance screening of the Season 2 premiere.
Los Angeles City College’s athletic field was converted into a re-creation of the hit TV show’s games, featuring the iconic “Red Light, Green Light”, giant doll and endless number of pink guards. Fans, dressed in the show’s signature green tracksuits, competed in a nearly 5K run vying to win coveted tickets to the premiere screening at The Egyptian Theater.
Attendees on the pink carpet at Los Angeles City College included included Hwang Dong-hyuk (Writer/Director/Executive Producer), Kim Ji-yeon (Executive Producer), Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Yim Si-wan, Jo Yu-ri, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim and Lee Seo-hwan with additional Guests Alicia Hannah-Kim, Anna Cathcart, Anthony Keyvan, Arden Cho, Gia Kim, Jesse Kove, Martin Kove, Minyeong Choi, Reagan To, Regan Aliyah, Sang Heon Lee and many more.
Squid Game season two starts streaming on Netflix on Dec. 26.
