New Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II Launched Earlier than Her Funeral

On Sept. 18, the eve of Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral, an unseen portrait of the late monarch was launched by Buckingham Palace.

Within the photograph, the queen is wearing a lightweight blue costume, together with her hair completely curled, as she smiles brightly for the digital camera. She is pictured sporting her favourite three-strand pearl necklace, pearl earrings and her aquamarine and diamond clip brooches which had been an 18th birthday current from her father King George VI in 1944.
