Nick Reiner may be considering a tell-all after his parents’ murders… but not out of vulnerability — out of spite.
It’s difficult to believe it’s already been over three months since Rob and Michele Reiner were stabbed to death in their Brentwood home. As we know, their son Nick, who has battled mental health and addiction issues for years, was arrested in connection with the tragedy shortly after. The 32-year-old was charged with two counts of first-degree murder with a special circumstance alleging multiple murders, and a special allegation that he used a knife in the crime. He’s now being held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in LA, where he’s surveilled nearly constantly.
Following his arrest, it was revealed that Nick hired high-profile defense attorney Alan Jackson to represent him in court on his murdered parents’ dime. However, that relationship was short-lived as Jackson withdrew from the case and has since declined to reveal the exact details of why. So now, Nick is being represented by public defender Kimberly Greene as he sits locked away in a cell — where he’s reportedly in the midst of hatching a plan to “cause as much embarrassment as he possibly can” for his grieving family. Oof.

On Monday, an insider told Radar Online that Nick wants “to lift the lid on his parents’ sordid secrets he was exposed to as a privileged Hollywood kid and offer his side of the story detailing why his parents were butchered in their own bed.”
Why? Well, the source claimed the accused murderer “wants to name as many names and cause as much embarrassment as he possibly can.”
Oh goodness… But WHY??
According to the source, Nick’s siblings Jake, 34, and Romy, 28, “want nothing to do with” their brother in the wake of their parents’ murders:
“To the surviving family members, he’s Satan incarnate. They’ll spend the rest of their lives trying to recover from the trauma and horrific grief that he’s inflicted.”
The insider suggested that it may have been Jake and Romy who cut off the cash flow to Nick’s original lawyer, and that their alienation has upset Nick:
“And now the notion that he’ll be piling on the agony with this depraved tell-all is going to make their pain and suffering even worse.”
As we’ve been following, Nick’s mental health has remained an area of heightened concern. In the weeks before Rob and Michele’s slayings, Nick was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Behind bars, he’s being kept in a high-observation mental health unit where inmates “have significant mental health illnesses and need to be kept alone and away from any other people or inmates.”
On Monday, the source described Nick to Radar Online as “out of his head” as he’s reportedly acting “almost childlike” and “can’t process the consequences” of what he’s been accused of. It sounds like his mental health challenges remain ongoing. So, so tough.
Our hearts truly remain with the Reiner family as they continue to navigate the immense loss of Rob and Michele. We hope they will get to continue to grieve without any added stress, such as a tell-all.
