Oasis has belatedly joined the star-studded lineup for the War Child charity album HELP(2) and will contribute a live version of its fan-favorite b-side “Acquiesce” to the collection, which will be released Friday (March 6).
Recorded Sept. 28, 2025, at the last of seven sold-out shows at London’s Wembley Stadium, “Acquiesce” will be included as a standalone seven-inch vinyl single with the vinyl edition of HELP(2) and as a hidden track on the two-CD incarnation. It will also hit streaming services on Friday and is the first live recording from Oasis’ 2025 reunion tour to see physical release. Click here to pre-order.
Oasis played a big role in the original 1995 HELP album, which opens with its song “Fade Away.” That project was recorded in one day (Sept. 4, 1995) and brought together the leading lights of the U.K. music scene at the time, including Paul McCartney, Radiohead, Massive Attack and Blur. Proceeds benefited War Child’s efforts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which were mired in fighting at the time.
As for HELP(2), it boasts contributions from Olivia Rodrigo (covering the Magnetic Fields), Geese’s Cameron Winter, Arooj Aftab and Beck, Arlo Parks, beabadoobee, Portishead’s Beth Gibbons (covering the Velvet Underground), Big Thief, King Krule, Sampha and the first new Arctic Monkeys song since 2022.
The album was primarily recorded during one week last November at Abbey Road Studios in London with Arctic Monkeys/Gorillaz producer James Ford.
