Olivia Rodrigo is being recognized not only for her chart-topping music, but for the meaningful impact she continues to make beyond the stage. The three-time Grammy Award–winning artist was named the recipient of the fourth annual Universal Music Group x REVERB Amplifier Award, honoring her commitment to driving positive change through her platform, her artistry, and her direct engagement with fans.
The award was presented during Sir Lucian Grainge’s 2026 Music Is Universal Artist Showcase, one of the most anticipated events of music’s biggest weekend, held Saturday night at NYA Studios in Los Angeles.
Created to spotlight artists who actively use their influence to inspire real-world action, the UMG x REVERB Amplifier Award celebrates musicians who integrate purpose into their work and mobilize their fan communities around issues that matter. Rodrigo joins a growing list of artists recognized for moving beyond awareness and into sustained impact.
The honor was presented by Sir Lucian Grainge, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group, alongside Lauren Sullivan and Adam Gardner, Co-Founders and Co-Executive Directors of REVERB, the leading nonprofit organization advancing environmental sustainability and social action across the music industry.
In accepting the award, Rodrigo emphasized the responsibility artists carry in today’s cultural climate.
“Receiving the UMG x REVERB Amplifier Award is an incredible honor,” Rodrigo said. “This award is an important reminder of the belief that artists can be a force for real, lasting change. Music has always been about more than sound — it’s about connection, telling the truth, and showing up for one another, especially when it’s uncomfortable or inconvenient.”

The Amplifier Award reflects the expanded partnership between Universal Music Group and REVERB, which is rooted in a shared belief that artists have a unique ability to mobilize communities and create positive change both onstage and off. Through touring initiatives, fan engagement, and nonprofit partnerships, REVERB has helped millions of music fans take action on environmental and social issues.
Susan Mazo, Chief Impact Officer and Executive Vice President at Universal Music Group, praised Rodrigo’s authenticity and leadership.
“Olivia represents the very best of what this award stands for,” Mazo said. “She has the courage to turn influence into action and leads with a sincerity that resonates far beyond the music, inspiring a generation to move with purpose.”
Lauren Sullivan, Co-Founder of REVERB, echoed that sentiment, noting the broader shift happening within the industry. “When we started this work in 2004, sustainability and social activism in music were the exception,” Sullivan said. “With this fourth Amplifier Award, we’re seeing how that’s changing. Olivia Rodrigo reflects that evolution — and her work is helping ensure a more equitable and just future, especially for women and girls.”
The presentation of the Amplifier Award during the Music Is Universal Artist Showcase reinforced the idea that Grammy weekend is not only a celebration of artistic achievement, but also a platform for leadership, responsibility, and collective action within the global music community.
