Kojima Productions has released a new trailer for Hideo Kojima‘s Death Stranding 2: On The Beach and it’s over ten-minutes long! This is a pre-order trailer for the game, which is set to be released on June 26, 2025 on PlayStation 5.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach sees the return of Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, Nicolas Winding Refn, and Guillermo del Toro, and they are joined by newcomers Elle Fanning, George Miller, Fatih Akin, Luca Marinelli, and Shioli Kutsuna.
Kojima previously shared that he wrote the story for the sequel prior to the pandemic, but ended up rewriting it “from scratch” because of the pandemic. Kojima jokingly said that he “didn’t want to predict the future,” which is why he rewrote it.
The logline reads: “Eleven months after the birth of the UCA servers line the beach. Deliveries have been automated. A Plate gate connects the continents. A new ship ride the tar currents. Currents the shake the Earth. A mysterious faction spreads. Chiralium warps the environment. The unending sixth extinction. A final journey with the dead.”
This looks like yet another visually stunning game that is going to continue Kojima’s wild story. This is going to be another incredible gaming experience.
