Palaye Royale have announced their new album, Amsterdamage, out Jan. 22 via Sumerian Records.
Amsterdamage was written throughout 2025 while on tour, before completing it in producer Chris Greatti’s LA studio. After losing their mother in 2024, writing and recording Amsterdamage helped keep the band together.

“I think if we didn’t have this album, we would have all gone separate ways,” drummer Emerson Barrett says. “After losing our mother, this is our phoenix rising from the ashes. Each one of us took our own paths in dealing with death, and rejoined not only as individuals, but with our partners, and as brothers. This creative bond was the thing that kept us together.”
Lead single “Lost In Translation” was inspired by the mid-2000s Brit rock bands that soundtracked their teenage years. “We felt pretty nostalgic writing this one,” vocalist Remington Leith adds. “It took us back to the music we grew up on, which was a lot of mid-2000s Brit rock bands. We wanted something upbeat and one that would go crazy live, but the lyrics represent wanting to make something work so bad, whether it be a dream or a relationship, and it seems like something is in the way of it working out and trying to push through at any cost.”
They’ll go on a massive international tour next year in support of the album, beginning in Europe and the U.K. before a North American run with support from Beauty School Dropout.
