Paramount Pictures and John Krasinski jointly announced that A Quiet Place: Part III will hit theaters on July 9, 2027.
Krasinski, who helmed the original 2018 film and its 2021 sequel, returns as writer, director, and producer for the trilogy’s culminating chapter.
The news, unveiled via Instagram by Krasinski alongside the franchise’s official account, featured nothing more than a stark image with the Roman numeral III and the date 7.9.27. It reaffirmed Krasinski’s creative stewardship over the saga after he previously entrusted 2024’s prequel A Quiet Place: Day One to director Michael Sarnoski.

The film had first been announced by Paramount in early 2022 with an expected 2025 release slot. That timeline was quietly postponed, in part due to Krasinski’s schedule and the team’s decision to explore the world’s earliest invasion days in the 2024 Day One prequel.

With Day One exploring the alien outbreak in New York through stars like Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn, the central Abbott storyline has remained on pause since 2021’s sequel. While official casting and plot details have not yet been announced, anticipation is building around the assumption that Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe will return to reprise their roles. Fans are also hopeful Joseph Quinn’s Eric, introduced in Day One, might crossover given narrative threads linking him to Djimon Hounsou’s character Henri.
With the trilogy officially proceeding and Krasinski once again calling the shots, fans are excited to step back into the world of silence and fear one more time.
