Over a year after Joaquin Phoenix exited Todd Haynes‘s then-untitled gay romance film, one of his Eddington co-stars may be picking up the mantle to help revive the project. A report by Deadline confirmed that De Noche is picking back up and eyeing a production start date in the New Year in Guadalajara, Mexico, with Pedro Pascal in talks to take on the lead role. Filming is being planned around the actor’s packed schedule, coming off a year in which he appeared in the second season of The Last of Us, Celine Song‘s Materialists, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. If a deal is finalized, he’ll join Danny Ramirez, who was previously cast to co-star with Phoenix.
