Pedro Pascal’s short cameo in Buffy the Vampire Slayer has resurfaced amid fans tracing back the phenomenal actor’s beginning of his career. The Emmy-nominated actor earned his major breakthrough as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones Season 4. However, Pascal’s official acting journey started almost a decade ago. Eagle-eyed fans have recently unearthed The Last of Us actor’s brief appearance in Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 4.
A user called @emmasaurustex recently shared a video from the show on X (formerly Twitter). In it, Pedro Pascal plays Eddie in the episode titled “The Freshman.” His appearance in the show lasted just one episode, but the actor shared how the role “saved” him from going “homeless.”

The Mandalorian star recalled his struggling years in his acting career, which carried on for more than a decade. In a 2024 chat with Entertainment Tonight, he shared, “My entry level lasted about 15 years.” Survival in those years was tricky, and Pascal shared why he didn’t give up.
“We’re talking about being able to see a doctor, getting sick, getting surgery, paying my rent. I had less than $7 in my bank account. A residual from Buffy the Vampire Slayer showed up and saved the day and literally is the reason I was able to stay in (Hollywood) and not give up,” the 50-year-old thespian added.
Two decades have passed since Pedro Pascal’s appearance on the WB series, but fans are ecstatic about recently rediscovering the rare clip. Gushing over young Pascal’s charisma, a fan posted on Reddit, “He has phenomenal screen presence. The guy just pops right off the screen.”
