I haven’t booted up the game in months. Between Go, Sleep, and my Switch backlog, TCG Pocket was taking up too much time with its abundance of unskippable loading screens and transitions and whatever else that I just lost interest because the juice wasn’t really worth the squeeze. Acquiring new cards is neat and all, but I have virtually no interest in playing with anybody online and the app quickly wore out its novelty.
I just want a successor to the excellent GBC games with similar gameplay/progression. And with the variety of cards they release every year, this could easily become a series with annual instalments (hint hint).
The last “shiny” set was also pretty disappointing, but I cannot deny that I’m a little tempted to get back into the loop.
