Cillian Murphy joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Doctor Doom in stunning The Fantastic Four art. Doctor Doom is the most famous villain of the Fantastic Four. While he still has to be confirmed as one of the characters part of The Fantastic Four‘s roster, Doctor Doom has appeared in all the live-action movies of the team so far, which makes at least a cameo appearance from the villain likely for the 2025 MCU movie. If Doom does debut in the Fantastic Four reboot, then there is one actor who would be perfect for the role.

The Actor Has Already Played A Supervillain
Joining the MCU as Doctor Doom would not be Murphy’s first time as a major villain in a superhero movie. While the actor still has to do business with Marvel, Murphy famously played the Batman villain Scarecrow in director Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy. While he only had a major role in the first movie in the franchise, Murphy’s Scarecrow appeared in all three Nolan Batman films, with the actor leaving his mark on the franchise as the volatile villain who posed a psychological threat to Batman.
Murphy’s time as Scarecrow is just one of the aspects that makes him such a great pick to play Doctor Doom in Marvel’s The Fantastic Four. The actor has shown in the movie Oppenheimer and the series Peaky Blinders that he has what it takes to play the future MCU villain. Murphy has the ability to bring an intensity to his roles that is needed for Doctor Doom. As the character mostly wears a mask, a lot of work is done through his imposing presence, and Murphy brings gravitas to whatever role he plays.
