Spider-Noir can easily fill in the spot left by Young Shelock season 1. The new live-action Spider-Man series stars Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, a veteran superhero who hangs his suit to serve as a private investigator in a dark 1930s New York City, dealing with its criminal underworld. No Spider-Man knowledge is necessary for this standalone, must-binge new series.

Spider-Noir exists in its own universe, so you don’t need to know anything about the many Spider-Man movies that have been released in theaters with versions of Peter Parker played by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland.
