For Royal watchers, Prince William and his beard were a winning combination during this Guild-visit starring Colonel-in-Chief to the Army Air Corps, giving looks galore in military uniform, through official sources as well as fellow visitors. The Prince and Princess of Wales shared photographs from Wattisham Air Base, where they mingled with soldiers and their families, somewhat making the unspoken statement that the regiment deserves praise for its professionalism and remarkable sense of community spirit. Whereas, the official royal photograph reflected discussions about preparing the United Kingdom for war, somewhere on the internet, numerous other issues found the eyes of the people, such as William’s beard and uniform synergy.

The social media post about the “relentless commitment” of the Army Air Corps became an adoring magnet. One claimed, “The first picture had me at hello!” While another too joked, “Well, this certainly makes a girls day better!” Then, comments rushed down the mixed lane of jokey thirst alongside sincere admiration, many pointing out how handsome and relaxed William appeared.
Beard had to be one of the recurring themes: “I love the beard era so much,” agreed one, setting off a cascade of agreement. A few compared him to King Felipe of Spain and his mature looks. “He is getting more handsome nowadays,” another said, to which the responses included, “Bit of a hunk” and still more succinctly, “🔥🔥🔥.” There were some responses in another language before being translated to the language of appreciation-“If I were him, I’d sleep and wake up in that uniform,” said one in Portuguese, followed by some pointing-laughing emoji.
There weren’t many appearances, except the beard and some pondering if William had been growing throughout the recent trials. “It feels like he has grown in one year,” a follower remarked about the recent rocky moments in the royal family. Others remained hopeful with one promising, “He’ll be a wonderful king,” while an American jested, “Can y’all adopt us back? 👀 🇺🇸.”
Another round of comparison was again in the spotlight, contrasting William’s public image and that of his brother Harry, with one comment going straight for the jugular: “He’s a bit more Spencer than his brother!” Whether about the beret, the beard, or the general symbolism of connecting the future king with his military, the show made quite a stir. While the royal account took the more formal route and thanked the soldiers for their service, the internet, as usual, had other ideas.

Views were somewhat split between admiration and respect. As put forth by one user, “🔥🔥🔥 with all the respect 😍😍.” That is to say, before respect or a thirst trap, why not both?
