Mary is doing her best to get the gang back together on this episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. However, when Lisa refuses to apologize for her part in the “Hypocrisy and Bullsh*t” song, the wheels come off. Whitney is unsure where to go with Quai, who at one point was a solid friend. Now, mixed in with this group, Whitney questions Quai, the same way many begin to question Bronwyn’s story.
Back in Utah, Angie hosts Mary for her first visit out of the house. Angie realizes that although she is going through a hard time, Mary is going through something so much harder. Mary explains that she is carrying her grief wherever she goes, but she needs to “get down with the juice” from the trip.
Angie gives Mary the lowdown on San Francisco and of course she left no detail out. Mary wonders how the ladies went from her house, post grieving, to this divisive behavior. Mary shares that she is doing a lunch because she wants the group to come together and move forward.
Britani’s daughter is turning 21, so a party is to be had. When Heather first started hanging out with Britani, Britani’s relationship with her daughters was estranged because she chose men over her kids. But now, things seem to be looking up. Bronwyn comes to celebrate, which is hilarious considering the past Bronwyn and Britani have had. Whitney arrives just in time for Britani’s daughter to have her first sip of booze.
Bronwyn explains that she closed on HER house, for more than she thought. Everything is in a trust, but Todd still has access to see her credit card statement. Bronwyn goes on to say she was in Florida AND met boyfriend’s parents… using Todd’s credit card.
The ladies feel like Quai is stuck in a weird place and Whitney makes it clear that Quai is lying to everyone. According to Whitney, Quai feels like she is “strong enough to handle Meredith.” Whitney does not want to fight with Quai, but she is sick of having her back.
Mary is getting the gang back together for her “boss lady brunch.” While on the San Fran trip, everything fell apart and it’s time for the ladies to get it together. Bronwyn is not thrilled to be around Meredith, but explains that she is done being hurt. Now she is simply closed, considering she is full of “hypocrisy and bullsh*t.”
Angie follows zero instruction from Mary and wears a tie to the brunch, but that appears to be the least of the problems. Angie confides with Heather about her relationship with Shawn. She has more questions than answers when it comes to her marriage and she feels like her life is falling apart. Heather explains that nothing in her life would have happened if she stayed married- she would have lived a shell of a life. Angie is grateful to have Heather to lean on while she navigates this tough time.
Robert Sr. gave each of the women “party favors,” personalized floral arrangements. This group has stood in the gap as far as family for Mary and it has really helped to get her through the hard times.
Whitney apologizes for hurting people while publicly intoxicated. She admits that her behavior is not okay and tells the ladies that she has a lot going in her life. Lisa does not believe that something is actually happening with Whitney because she uses it as a crutch.
Whitney goes on to say that “two of our other friends misbehaved in public” and that she is offended for Bronwyn. She believes that it disrespected Bronwyn, but Lisa states it is Whitney’s perspective. Meredith claims the song was not about Brownyn and asks that Bronwyn seal her mouth like her lawsuits so she can explain herself.
Meredith does not feel like she needs to justify herself because Bronwyn can’t stop talking. She never intended to hurt anyone’s feelings and felt like the song was a great idea. Bronwyn lets them know that the song was not funny and it was embarrassing, for THEM. Meredith claims she is “genuinely sorry” and Bronwyn chooses to take the apology and move on. This is huge–boss lady-like!
Lisa states that she did not feel bad about the performance and refuses to apologize because she does not say things she does not mean. Lisa would rather write a check than say sorry. She begins to sing the song to Bronwyn and claims this is all about authenticity. Lisa reminds Mary that no one wants an empty apology and refuses to do so.
Meredith points out the larger issue at hand with Whitney. Whitney had to construct some sort of team of 50 year old women to try and take her down. Quai jumps in to say she told Meredith this was occurring.
Quai admits that she DID talk sh*t about Meredith and has since owned this to Meredith…however, Quai believes that Meredith deserves to know Whitney has said some lousy stuff. According to Quai, Whitney said, “We are excited that you’re coming to take Meredith’s spot.” Whitney reminds Quai about all the things she said about Meredith, but Quai feels like Whitney baited her AND recorded her. Angie has brought that point up twice, but Angie backtracks and says everyone is always being recorded, generally speaking.
Whitney states that she PROBABLY said she wants Meredith gone. Mary is aghast, considering this is her first time in public since her situation. She is disappointed in the way that things turned out amidst the women and she is now questioning them all. Mary tearfully states that she expected more from everyone. She lets Lisa know she is let down by her behavior and tells Whitney to get it together.
Whitney is hosting Quai, who is worried about getting recorded. Whitney clarifies that there are no internal cameras in the home, so it is a safe place to talk. Quai explains that all the drama within the group stemmed from Whitney. Whitney just wants Quai on her side of the street and she feels a sense of duty to protect the bond with Quai. Quai suggests that they all move forward and reminds Whitney that she can be friends with EVERYONE. It is time to build back the trust and keep the peace.
Heather, Angie, Mary, and Lisa have a smaller group outing, since the bigger one was an absolute disaster. Mary shares that Britani stole her flowers from the brunch. She took an arrangement from the table and took the ones she gave Mary as a gift. How odd. Apparently, Britani takes the flowers to nursing homes, but Angie feels like Britani goes there to try and get into men’s wills. Lisa claims it is “not beneath Britani to go to God’s waiting room” to get a little piece of the pot.
Angie gets prodded to talk about her marriage with Shawn, which is awkward. Angie lies through her teeth, claiming “life is lifeing” and they are simply busy with their daughter.
Heather talks about her new boo. She will be hosting a party and he will be in attendance, which is huge. Heather is scared to share this part of her life with the women, but everyone and their spouses will be in attendance.
Heather then goes on to talk about how Britani is on the hunt to expose Bronwyn. Britani pulled up the deed for Bronwyn’s home. Britani said the house is owned by the trust and Heather admits that Bronwyn is so convincing. Lisa states that everything is a ruse, right down to Bronwyn’s boyfriend. Lisa feels like it is very PR driven. No one can understand why Bronwyn behaves this way. Why does she “keep winding up in a story that doesn’t add up?” She is taking that phrase fake it til you make it too far, according to these ladies…
