R. Kelly claims he’s not suicidal after being handed down a 30-year jail sentence for racketeering and intercourse trafficking costs this week.
Based on a report from TMZ, printed on Friday (July 1), R. Kelly reportedly filed a lawsuit in opposition to The Metropolitan Detention Heart, Brooklyn (MDC Brooklyn) allegedly the ability is punishing him by putting him on suicide watch regardless of his denials that he has no intentions of wounding himself.
In his swimsuit, the embattled singer alleges that MDC Brooklyn is subjecting him to “merciless and weird punishment” underneath harsh situations as a result of he’s a star. Kels claims that his eighth modification rights are being violated after he advised MDC officers that he was not suicidal and had no ideas of harming himself or others.
Kelly alleges the detention heart positioned him in a single cell with out mattress rails, no bathe or shave, no rest room paper, being compelled to eat meals along with his fingers, and receiving no contact from family members. Kelly added that inmates on suicide watch don’t even obtain psychiatric care.
R. Kelly is reportedly suing for damages and emotional misery.
In response to Kelly’s allegations, the Bureau of Prisons advised TMZ in an announcement, “The BOP is dedicated to making sure the protection and safety of all inmates in our inhabitants, our employees, and the general public. Humane therapy of the women and men in our custody is a high precedence.”
