Behind some of the most talked-about films of recent years is Rabia Sultana, a producer whose work consistently lands on the world’s most prestigious stages. Her latest project, Poreless, premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival and received “For Your Consideration” for Oscars Best Live Action Short Film.
That success builds on her recent feature Ricky claimed Best U.S. Dramatic Feature at Sundance 2025, adding to a résumé that includes Fairyland, Edge of Everything, The Climb, and Angelfish. From Cannes to TIFF to Tribeca, her projects reflect a deep trust in character-driven storytelling.
But what sets Rabia apart is not just her track record — it’s her approach. Rabia is deeply hands-on, carrying both the creative and logistical heartbeat of each project she touches. “I hold the vision alongside the director from the beginning, and then it’s my job to nurture it into reality.”

She is known for working closely with writer-directors, often from the earliest stages of development, helping shape the story’s emotional arc and cinematic language. Once the creative vision is locked, she draws on over a decade of producing experience and an extensive network to build the right team, secure financing, and oversee production from prep to post. Her signature lies in her ability to bridge vision and execution — building the creative and logistical foundation that allows emotionally resonant, character-driven stories to evolve from a spark of an idea into fully realized, powerful cinematic experiences.
Rabia’s impact also spans television and culture. She produced AMC Digital’s Bottomless Brunch with Colman, earning multiple industry awards, and HBO’s Chillin Island. Off-screen, she has led major branded activations, including Netflix’s Queen Charlotte multi-city tour and Virgin Group’s Guinness-recognized campaign.
A BAFTA, IADAS, and PGA member, Rabia also gives back as a Juilliard visiting faculty mentor, and has produced films for the Graduating classes, showcased at Lincoln Center.
For Rabia Sultana, storytelling is not about visibility alone — it’s about creating space for truth, healing, and transformation.
