Kristen Doute reacted to Raquel Leviss‘ podcast interview with Bethenny Frankel in a series of clips shared to her Instagram Story on Thursday night.
After Raquel, 28, mentioned that Kristen, 40, alluded to a “dark” situation with James Kennedy, 31, the Vanderpump Rules star said Raquel was “telling the truth” about some things as she denied being “silenced” by Bravo with a spinoff and Raquel applauded her for coming forward.
During part two of her interview on Just B With Bethenny, Raquel said she believed Kristen’s suggestions about James because she’d “seen him be a violent person” before saying she felt the spinoff was created to avoid a potential scandal.
“Kristen was just starting to talk about her tumultuous relationship with James and what happened behind closed doors, and then all of a sudden she’s presented with this spinoff, which I believe is a way to silence her, to keep that under wraps so that the longevity of Vanderpump Rules can continue,” Raquel alleged.
Then, when Kristen reacted to the clip, Raquel shared her response on her own Instagram Story, along with a note that applauded her former castmate‘s “courage.”
In a series of three Instagram Story videos, Kristen backed certain statements from Raquel, while denying that Bravo gave her a spinoff to keep her quiet.
“I will say Rachel [the name Raquel is now going by] is not lying in the small clip that I heard… She’s telling some truths. But I was definitely not offered any sort of hush money or anything like that, for sure,” Kristen stated.
Then, after confirming, “Rachel did say some things factually,” she clarified that she had only seen a very small segment from Raquel’s three-part interview.
“You guys are messaging me saying she talked a bunch of sh*t about me or something and I don’t know. I’m not that invested. I was just saying that from the one little TikTok that I did see, she was telling the truth about some things, except for the hush money part,” she continued.
According to Kristen, she only spoke out about the interview because the TikTok clip had her name in it.
“I’m now hearing all sorts of things that were also said. I have no idea. All I’m saying, that I want to clarify, is that obviously, I agree with what Rachel says about you know who. I think I’ve made my feelings very clear. But also you guys, for realsies, there’s no opportunity, no new anything that I was given to silence me or as hush money or anything like that,” she stated. “So that part is completely incorrect and I hope that clears things up.”
Vanderpump Rules season 11 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
