Rebel Wilson and tennis star Novak Djokovic gave fans an insight into their decade-long friendship after being snapped in a sweet moment behind the scenes at Wimbledon.
The Aussie actress and the 24-time grand slam champion posed for a selfie together using a polaroid camera for a keepsake, after Wilson cheered on Djokovic’s win on Centre Court on Tuesday.
The pair’s perhaps unlikely friendship actually began in California back in March 2014, when the Pitch Perfect star appeared with the Serbian at a charity tennis tournament.

They were both taking part in the 10th anniversary of Will Ferrell‘s Desert Smash, an annual event which still continues today and benefits Cancer for College.
Since then, the long-time self-confessed Djokovic fan has been spotted supporting the tennis player at the Australian Open in Melbourne and in the stands of London’s Wimbledon.
Wilson even referenced “nice guy” Djokovic during an emotional post on her weight-loss journey, sharing a photo from their first meeting on social media in 2021.
Earlier this year, Wilson jokingly dubbed the married former World No. 1 as a “#1 boyfriend” after he reposted her Instagram Story of them at Melbourne Park.

Now Djokovic is taking their relationship to the next level – sharing the Wimbledon selfie on Instagram as a joint post.
“Picture Perfect,” he captioned the image, riffing off the actress’s hit movie franchise.
Wilson, who is engaged to Ramona Agruma and attended day two of the championships with her “lovely agent”, revealed in her memoir this year that she previously dated a female tennis player.
Describing it in Rising Rebel as a “situationship”, the actress admitted she was so enamoured she considered giving up fame for the mystery athlete.
“Here was somebody where [I] felt so invested in and even thought at one point, ‘Oh, I could give up my career for this person, travel around the world on the tennis circuit’,” Wilson told People magazine earlier this year.
“I describe it as cracking open my heart. Like you could open a fresh can of tennis balls… that’s what it did to me.”
After making the public admission, Wilson had to request fans stop trying to figure out who that person is.
“Please stop speculating about the ‘tennis player’ in my book,” the 44-year-old wrote on her Instagram Story.

“It is NOT anyone I follow on social media or have been publicly photographed with.”
And Wilson’s lifelong love affair with the game of tennis, which she grew up playing, is set to continue with the actress to star in the upcoming comedy Double Fault.
“My love for tennis will fully be on display in this film,” she told fans when announcing the project in August 2022.
