Revival Show Cast & Character Guide

Syfy’s horror series Revival features a talented cast who bring the series, and the dead, to life. The series is based on the comics of the same name and follows a police officer named Dana Cypress as she attempts to solve a murder, but Revival has one big twist. Everyone who died in Wausau, Wisconsin on January 1 comes back to life the next day. This means that even murder victims can be witnesses in the case of their own death, but the townspeople quickly become suspicious of the revivers, pulling Dana in different directions.

The detective sci-fi show sees Dana attempting to uncover the truth behind the sudden revival, while dealing with her own family and personal troubles. Through this, Revival blends supernatural horror elements, mystery elements, and family drama. It also varies greatly from traditional popular zombie shows and movies, creating undead characters who are largely normal humans aside from being immortal. This feature gives Revival a new spin on a well-known genre, and the series’ cast helps create compelling living and dead characters.

Melanie Scrofano as Dana Cypress
