While season 20 of The Real Housewives of Orange County is currently airing, devastating news recently broke about an old cast member.
Specifically, it was revealed Jeana Keough, 70, was battling cancer and that a GoFundMe had been set up to help her cover the massive costs.
Vicki Gunvalson, 64, recently appeared on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, and updated host Jeff Lewis on Jeana’s cancer battle.
Vicki explained that Jeana was “misdiagnosed” by a doctor.
“She went to the dentist. They said, ‘Oh, your tooth is shifting in the back. We’re just going to shave it down,’” Vicki shared. “And then three months later went back again. ‘My tongue is still touching the root of my tooth.’ Um, shaved it down again. Three times she went to this dentist, whoever it may be, and he said, ‘Uh, I don’t really like the way it looks.’ Goes to another dentist, comes back, they did a biopsy. It’s tongue cancer.”
”So, by that time, she had to have half of her tongue removed from the back to the front,” Vicki continued detailing. “And we did the final party, she was there talking kind of funny, so, ‘Is it awful?’ I said, ‘No, Jeana. We love you. Like, it’s good. Did they get it all?’ ‘Yeah, they got it all.’”
Vicki said Jeana’s doctors then wanted to look at her lymph nodes and found out the cancer had spread and was stage three.
Currently, Vicki noted Jeana’s been in the hospital for three weeks and has been unable to eat “because she’s doing chemo, radiation, and immunotherapy” which is “slapping her body.”
”Now she’s dealing with, um, sores in her mouth, in her throat, can’t eat anything, can’t drink, can’t take her pills,” she elaborated. “Yesterday, they put a feeding tube in her… she needs the nutrition…She hasn’t had any nutrition in three weeks.”
As far as the GoFundMe goes, Vicki explained things while making it clear that she wants to protect Jeana’s privacy.
“Jeana owns two houses in Florida. When she sold the house next to me, she bought two houses, rental property. It doesn’t have a lot of equity. The real estate in Florida has gone down,” shared Vicki.
Vicki added, “She is getting a small pension from Matt and she’s getting her social security. It’s not enough to support her rent in Coto De Caza. She rents a house there and her life. So, they’ve asked for a little bit of help. I obviously helped and people are questioning the same thing and they have a right to question it. And she’s commissioned sales just like I am. She hasn’t been able to work and the income stopped.”

Vicki also addressed being hacked, something she recently shared with fans on social media when she alerted them her email was compromised in a malware and phishing scheme.
She shared with Jeff that some of her bank accounts had also been hacked two weeks ago when someone added their name to them and “started writing checks.”
“$192,000,” she shared of the amount. “It’s like – I feel like I’m in a horrible movie and I can’t get out of it.”
Vicki noted three of her twelve bank accounts had been hacked, but, luckily, the bank is honoring the money because of FDIC insurance.
“By the way, everybody, don’t ever put a check in the mail. That’s how this happened,’ she noted. “Everything is EFT. Everything. You don’t physically write checks because what’s happening, they’re washing them. And they’ve taken the pretty flower I had in the left corner and they’re washing them and they’re doing that. It’s a big, big ring. I’m in an FBI ring.”
She also shared she’s not sure if she’s being targeted because of who she is but said “target somebody else,” insisting she’s “not that big of a deal.”
“I did hire a cybersecurity team, and they’re very concerned that ransom could be next,” Vicki added, noting the ransom would be to get all her computers from her nine employees.
Regardless, she insisted her “clients are protected.”
