In the wake of his recent Mirrorball-winning stint on Dancing With The stars, Aussie conservationist Robert Irwin has officially solidified himself as a household name.
The spitting image of late father Steve Irwin and exuding equal amounts of charisma, the rising star appears to be on a roll.
So as he rides out the momentum of his international exposure, what is next for the wildlife warrior?
As it turns out, Robert will be using the summer season to return to his roots, focusing the bulk of his energy on the conservation work he’s best known for.
During this time, he’s also set to be revisiting a “passion project” over three years in the making.
The Crocodile Hunter’s only son spearheaded the development of “a unique overnight experience” in his honour – aptly named The Crocodile Hunter Lodge.
Opened in 2022, the lodge is nestled in native bushland just a 60-minute drive north of Brisbane.

The luxury accommodation features rustic cabins within easy access to the Sunshine Coast and the famed Glass House Mountains in Queensland.
It is said to be “inspired by Steve Irwin’s life, legacy and love for wild places.”
“With an unwavering passion to protect wildlife and wild places, Steve envisioned a unique overnight experience for guests,” the Crocodile Hunter Lodge website states.
In a video posted to Instagram, the Dancing with the Stars winner spoke fondly of his work developing the accommodation.

“It has been quite the passion project that we’ve been working on,” he said, adding that the venue is “a way to really properly welcome everyone to our home.”
“Honestly, we wanted to create something so that everybody could have a proper home away from home when you visit us.”
Robert will be continuing his work at the lodge over the next few months, until he makes an appearance on his next reality show early next year.
But this time, he’s trading in his dancing shoes, and stepping into the role of host.

Robert is set to be the face once again of the Australian iteration of I’m a Celebrity… Get me out of here! alongside Julia Morris.
He’s also going to reunite with his dance partner Witney Carson in the coming months.
“Witney’s coming down to Australia,” he shared to E! News.
Carson, 32, added, “I am, next spring, I’m there. You’re not getting rid of me that easy!”
By the looks of his mammoth success in the US, we’re thinking we might be seeing a lot more of Robert in the near future.
