Amid the escalating legal landscape, Roc Nation’s instagram account posted content that could likely be a hack, which begs the question- why are accounts of celebrities and entertainment businesses becoming easy targets?
Just last week, Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mother-in-law, came under scrutiny for liking a post about the same lawsuit but later announced that her Instagram was hacked.
This morning Roc Nation’s Instagram account posted the below, then removed about 15 minutes later, but the cryptic message did not go unnoticed by fans who quickly took to the comments section.
The post came on the heels of a legal escalation yesterday (Wednesday, Dec. 18th) that was widely reported between Jay-Z and attorney Tony Buzbee, “with both a new lawsuit accusing the star of orchestrating a conspiracy of ‘shadowy operatives’ and a motion warning a judge that Buzbee might destroy evidence of his own alleged misconduct,” as reported by USA Today.
According to Billboard, “Reps for Roc Nation call the new lawsuit a ‘sham’ and a ‘pathetic attempt’ to distract from recently-revealed inconsistencies in Buzbee’s rape case against the superstar.”
Do you think this post was a hack of the music management and publishing company’s account or do you think this was a purposeful clapback?
We’re awaiting Roc Nation’s official statement on the post as of press time. The post remains up on their X account currently with over 21K views and counting. Either way, time to update your passwords!
***UPDATE**
Roc Nation (or the Hacker?) has reposted the message to ALL platforms with an NBC News Exclusive video!
