New comedian, The Roadie, is an action-packed horror collection that takes you on a journey of heavy steel proportions. The collection is an epic saga of a former heavy steel roadie who should return to his outdated profession as an exorcist with a purpose to rescue his daughter.
Written by Tim Seeley with line artwork and colours by Fran Galan and letters by El Torres, The Roadie tells a darkish story full of nostalgia, heavy steel music, hell, and redemption. And now, the staff has created a music playlist to get you ready–issue #1 arrives September 28!
Try the playlist under, and hear now on the Darkish Horse Spotify Channel.
All problems with The Roadie may be pre-ordered and/or bought at comedian retailers and will likely be accessible on digital comics platforms as nicely. Rock alongside to this playlist as you take pleasure in your comics!
The Roadie Problem #1 Playlist – Pay attention on Spotify
1). Motley Crue – Seems that Kill: This story is clearly firmly rooted in a sure time, place and aesthetic, and I feel the Crüe epitomizes that probably the most. “Shout on the Satan” could be extra on-point thematically, however “Seems” at all times sounded grimier and sexier to me.
2). Iron Maiden – The Variety of the Beast: Okay, if we’re gonna do our “hell” music, that is the one for this playlist. Maiden at all times skirted the perimeters of glam 80s steel, remaining only a contact too British and too political to go all the way in which. It is a rippin’ tune about…werewolves? Monsters? Devil? Positive. All of it.
3). Fastway – After Midnight: Is that this the band who did the soundtrack for the Metallic Horror movie “Trick or Deal with?” Why sure. And this story is definitely a heavy steel horror film in its personal manner.
4). Love & Rockets – Haunted when the minutes drag: Chosen partly as a result of it got here out on the top of hair steel, and so distinctively WAS NOT, but in addition as a result of it is genuinely creepy. Additionally, as a result of an enormous theme of this collection is the lack of time.
5). Johnny Money – Flesh n’ Blood: A very good, all-American nation music a few man realizing he wants humanity, which, hey, I am nothing if at all times on theme.
6). Lil Nas X – Montero (Name me by your title): Q: A contemporary rap music? What now?! A: When you ask me, nobody is continuous the custom of pissing off uptight America like Lil Nas X. The video for this music encompasses a homosexual lap dance on Devil’s lap. ‘Nuff stated!
7). Nick Cave & The Dangerous Seeds – We Got here Alongside This Street: Finish credit music! A tragic, on-the-run music by my all-time favourite crooner.
