At just 25 years old, pop princess Sabrina Carpenter took home her first two Grammys last Sunday.
Carpenter was nominated for six awards, and took home the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, for her sixth studio album ‘Short N’ Sweet’, and Best Pop Solo Performance, for her song ‘Espresso.’ Carpenter says in her speech for Best Pop Vocal Album, “I really was not expecting this…this is my first Grammy, so I’m going to cry.”
In fact, Carpenter was nominated against Taylor Swift, who invited Carpenter to open for ‘The Eras Tour’, where she performed 13 shows during the Latin America leg of the tour in 2023, as well as 6 Australia shows and 6 Singapore shows in 2024.
Carpenter adds to her speech, “All of those nominees that were just up on the screen are some of my favorite artists in the world, and I can’t believe I’m nominated against them.”
Sabrina Carpenter started her career in acting on Disney Channel, where she starred as Maya Hart, in the popular show Girl Meets World. She released her first album, Eyes Wide Open in 2015, jumpstarting her music career to where it is today.
On February 4th, 2025, Carpenter expressed her gratitude for her success at the 67th annual Grammy awards, by coming to Instagram to announce a Deluxe version of her album, ‘Short N’ Sweet,’ with three new unreleased songs. It was to the fan’s excitement when she announced a new version of the popular song, ‘Please, Please, Please,’ featuring country sensation, Dolly Parton.
Fans have flooded the Instagram announcement with comments including, “My dream collab is coming true!!! Short N’ Sweet deluxe, you have changed my life and you’re not even out yet.” Parton expressed her excitement for the collaboration by reposting the announcement on her Instagram story.
