Sam Kerr and Kristie Mewis relationship in pictures

2023 started with a bang as Mewis and Kerr posed for Gaffer and opened up about how they were managing being a long-distance couple. 

“I feel like we just make it work,” Mewis said. 

“We set little milestones,” Kerr added.

“We make time during the week where we’ll watch the same show and FaceTime or have dinner together or something.

“But it’s tough. I think the thing that keeps us going is that we can see an endpoint.”

Kerr spoke about what it was like having such intense chemistry with a rival team member.

“It was about three or four months until we could hang out in person,” Kerr recalled of her first meeting with Mewis.

“The first time we ever met there was quarantine so we had to spend two weeks together the first time we met.

She added: “I was thinking, ‘If I don’t like her this is going to be awkward’.”
