Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Mirren will be honored with major awards by the Golden Globes in the upcoming Golden Eve special event. The celebratory evening will be filled with several major stars from the industry.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Mirren to receive major awards ahead of 2026 Golden Globes
Golden Globes announced that Golden Eve: The Golden Globes Honor Helen Mirren & Sarah Jessica Parker will air on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and Paramount+, featuring several major stars like last year’s Cecil B. DeMille and Carol Burnett Award recipients Viola Davis and Ted Danson.
Other stars joining this evening will include Carol Burnett, Colman Domingo, Kristin Davis, and Vin Diesel. Additionally, Harrison Ford will also appear to present the award to Helen Mirren.
This year, Helen Mirren received the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and Sarah Jessica Parker was honored with the 2026 Carol Burnett Award. This comes ahead of the 83rd Golden Globe Awards.
The Cecil B. DeMille was created in 1952. It was named after the iconic director behind groundbreaking gems like The Ten Commandments, Samson and Delilah, and The King of Kings. It has since been presented to 69 honorees. The previous winners include Barbra Streisand, Jack Warner, Oprah Winfrey, Robert Redford, Sidney Poitier, and Walt Disney, among others.
The Carol Burnett Award was established in 2019. It has since been presented to “an honoree who has made outstanding contributions to television on or off screen.” Ellen DeGeneres, Norman Lear, Ryan Murphy, and now Sarah Jessica Parker have received the award.
The 83rd Annual Golden Globes, which is also the first major award show of 2026, will air on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Fans can catch it on CBS live or stream on Paramount+.
