The Spider-Man actors will meet again! However, a rumor from Avengers: Secret Wars suggests that it may not be in the way many fans were hoping for.
Ever since Spider-Man: No Way Home brought Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire together on the big screen, fans have been begging for some way for the trio of Spider-Man actors to reunite once more. The rumor mill has suggested that the group may meet again in Avengers: Secret Wars, but details about how they’ll meet have been rather sparse.
That scarcity may simply be because the truth is too heartbreaking to Spider-Man fans. A new rumor by scooper MyTimeToShineHello suggests that Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire will be forced to fight each other during the events of Avengers: Secret Wars. While the reason isn’t explicitly provided, it’s likely each hero will be fighting for the fate of their own world against the others during some sort of Battleworld scenario.
Spider-Man Faces A Brand New Foe
It also seems like Avengers: Secret Wars may not be the only time that Tom Holland reunites with Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire on the silver screen. The rumor mill has been suggesting that Sony Pictures is developing a King In Black movie with Knull facing off against Holland’s Spider-Man. Given Knull is a mulitversal villain, it would only make sense for Garfield and Maguire to return as well.
Of course, even if this rumor is false, it’s all but certain that Tom Holland, Toby Maguire, and Andrew Garfield will all appear in Avengers: Secret Wars. Even discounting the massive success that was Spider-Man: No Way Home, all three actors are integral to the DNA of Marvel’s history. And given the film is meant to celebrate the studios’ history on the silver screen, the three are all but guaranteed to make an appearance.
